Kemtrak NBP007 Suspended Solids Analyzer

The Kemtrak NBP007 is a wide-ranging concentration monitor which uses near infrared solid state light sources. When coupled with a fiber optic backscatter probe, it provides accurate and repeatable measurement of suspended solids from diluted states up to extremely high concentrations. A low range and high range version of the NBP007 are available. The low range measures up to about 10% solids; the high range is recommended for applications above this. Each unit is fitted with two light sources which provide measurement at two separate wavelengths. Each wavelength will give a slightly different response to the same solids concentration because of particle size variation/distribution. Either (or both) can be used to provide a correlated solids concentration measurement. Having two different wavelengths provides greater flexibility when using the instrument in the field.

The Kemtrak NBP007 utilizes a robust industrial backscatter probe with a sapphire window in either a hygienic sanitary clamp connection or Ø12mm PG13.5 “pH electrode style” probe. Features of both models include:

• Datalogger – user configurable with >17,000 record capacity
• Event Logger – logs all system events >16,000 entries
• PID Controller – analog or pulse width modulated relay output
• Automatic Probe Cleaning – time-based routine that operates valves etc. to effect probe window cleaning
